Heartbeaking Reminder about the Dangers of Food Allergies

Natalie Giorgi died Saturday in her father’s arms at Camp Sacramento after eating a Rice Krispies treat that contained peanut butter, CBS Sacramento reported.

Food allergies in children have been steadily rising. Many of those with diagnosed food allergies are unknowingly exposed to their food allergen when meals are prepared by others (restaurants, picnics, family gatherings, etc..). This is a heart breaking story out of California about a girl with a known peanut food allergy who was exposed peanuts at camp.
